No prior RSO experience is required. We provide comprehensive training and certification for all new volunteers. Basic familiarity with firearms and a commitment to safety are the main prerequisites.
How long does the certification process take?
Volunteer RSOs will be trained on MCSC SOPs by the chief RSO prior to beginning work. After 60 days, volunteer RSOs may elect to receive free NRA RSO certification.

Life happens, and we understand. Volunteers can request time off as needed. Extended absences are handled on a case-by-case basis, and your spot in the program will be held for reasonable periods.
